Kid's mc Escher Lizard

M.C. Escher’s art continues to amaze people all over the world. His many nature-themed tessellations are both lovely and brilliant.

MATERIALS

• Download Escher Template
• Cardstock paper
• Printer
• Paper cutter
• Markers
• Glue stick
• Butcher paper

DIRECTIONS
PREP: Print a Escher square for each student. Trim the edge with a paper cutter.

1. Students color in their lizard with a marker. You could make them follow a pre-planned color scheme, or just do random.
2. Every square is glued down to a large sheet of butcher paper as shown in my diagram, with the lizard mouths touching.
3. Those groups are repeated until you have filled the paper with complete groups of four.

Make a small mural or a super large one, it’s all up to you.
